Aiken, SC is a wonderful community that embraces all aspects of horses.  This painting was inspired by a friend's visit to the “Blessing of the Hounds” on Thanksgiving morning.  The fox chase was about to begin and the curious part of this painting is who is the rider and whose horse is it?  They could be any of the wonderful riders and horses - all ready to participate in this annual event.  It is Pure Aiken and all that live here know the true meaning.
